To the Asami family: Our thoughts and prayers go out to you during this difficult time. Joy was always a most caring and thoughtful person. We remember her very well from our days of working together in Central Unified. Joy's dedication to the schools and programs she served is truly commendable.

Joy was certainly a special person.  I had the privilege of working with her at Central Unified and also visiting with her at CURLS after we both retired.  She was funny and one could tell she enjoyed life.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this most difficult time.

It was such an honor to be able to meet and spend a little time with "Grandma Joy".  What a delightful lady with a positive, energetic and happy view on life and family that glowed from her. She had an unique ability to get others to talk and share and feel comfortable. 
My heart and prayers go out to all her family and friends. And special love, prayers, and understanding to her husband, children and grandchildren who feel that empty hole in their heart that only a life-partner, Mom and Grandma can fill.   
As the waves of aches and loss overwhelm, I pray you will be washed with beautiful memories of a life of love, joy and smiles that bring you peace.

I worked with Joy at the beginning of my teaching career. She was wonderful. Great working with her. Prayers for her family.

I have worked with Mark Asami for many years now .... although I never meant Joy I Know she was a very kind woman for I see that  kindness and respect  in my friend. With deepest regret for your loss. She is in a better place resting in Peace. My thoughts and prayers are with the Asami family. Olga

I cannot imagine the world without Joy.  She loved life and people and gave so much of herself.  I know that she is in heaven and there is great rejoicing. We all will be with her some day.  God bless and my sincerest condolences to Taro and the Asami Family.

Dear Asami Family,
I grew up with Julie and Mark, and visited the Asami home numerous times.  Mrs. Asami was always so warm and welcoming to me, and I remember her with great fondness. She always seemed to be smiling and to see the humor in everything.   I send my sincerest condolences to everyone in the Asami Family.
