Joyce Georgia Souza

Our loving wife and mother Joyce Souza, age 69, was called home on February 3rd, 2021. She was born Joyce Georgia Kosieris on July 15, 1951 to Greek immigrants John and Evangelia Kosieris in Fresno, CA. She remained in Fresno for the majority of her life.

Joyce was full of life and truly one of a kind. She loved to love people by bringing fun, joy, and sparkle to their lives. Her life was filled with exciting travel (Greece being her treasured destination), planning and hosting parties, and sharing her vivacious personality with family and friends. She had a giving heart, expressed kindness to others, and always saw the best in people. In recent years, she treasured the lights of her life (her grandchildren) and embraced every moment with them.

She was a wife, mother, yiayia (grandmother), aunt, and friend unlike any other and she will be missed by many.

Joyce is survived by her husband Daniel Souza of 43 years, her daughter Adrianna and son in law Gerrit Roeloffs and her three grandchildren, Kensi (6), Gerrit Jr. (4), Brooke (2), and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Evangelia Kosieris, and her in-laws Joe and Ludrie Souza.

Remembrances can be made to one of her favored non-profits, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
