Juan Cuevas, 92, passed away on August 23, 2026. Born on May 3, 1934, in Jalisco, Mexico, Juan lived a life defined by steadfast devotion, quiet courage, and enduring resilience—qualities that carried him through decades of hard work and faithful dedication to those he loved. A beloved and cherished presence, he will be remembered for the kind-hearted way he met others, the loyalty he showed to family, and the selfless spirit that guided his days. Juan was a resident of Fresno, California.
For 50 years, Juan worked as a farm worker, a testament to his perseverance and strong sense of responsibility. Through long seasons and demanding days, he embodied the dignity of honest labor, remaining devoted and dependable, and earning the respect of all who knew him.
Juan is survived by his children: Richard Cuevas (Vickie), David Cuevas, John Cuevas (Juanita), Rosie Cuevas, and Michael Cuevas (Beverly). Juan also leaves 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held at Palm La Paz Funerals & Cremations, 1605 L St, Fresno, CA 93721, on September 14, 2026, at 9:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. A Committal Service will take place after the Funeral Service at Belmont Memorial Park, 201 N. Teilman Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
Pallbearers will be Michael Cuevas, Jeremy Cuevas, Aaron Cuevas, Jonathan Cuevas, Adam Cuevas, David Cuevas, Daniel Cuevas, Gabriel Cuevas, and Ralph Pina.
Juan’s life was marked by faithfulness, devotion, and a love that asked for little and gave so much. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and loyalty that will continue to live on in the many generations who cherished him.
