Judith Marie Anderson

July 15, 1940January 16, 2012

Judith M. Anderson peacefully passed away at her home on January 16, 2012. Judy was born at the Empire Zinc Company Hospital in Gilman, Colorado, on July 15, 1940.

Judy was an artist with a love of bright colors. That love appeared in her paintings, her home décor and even the exterior of her studio which she painted nine bright colors. It extended to her back yard with the patio she constructed and brightened with her flock of pink flamingos. Judy succeeded in impressing on visitors to her home the need for repeated visits to view and absorb all she had done.

Judy was predeceased by her children Kenneth and Kerry Jo.

Judy will be profoundly missed by her companion and husband of thirty four years, Zwi Reznik, a retired Fresno City College Mathematics instructor. She is also survived by her nieces Jennifer Davis, Andrea Davis and Kristin Tromly and nephew Steven Tromly; Andrea’s partner Shaun Dreyer, Steve’s wife Chris; great-nieces McKenzie Davis-Dreyer, Audra Tromly and great-nephew Logan Tromly. Judy will also be missed by her many friends in Fresno and Colorado.

Judy will be interred at The Hebrew Cemetery in Leadville, Colorado. Arrangements are being made by Bailey-Kent Funeral Home of Leadville, Colorado and Lisle Funeral Home of Fresno, California.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hinds Hospice of Fresno, or any Hospice service in your community.

Zwi, I'm very sad to hear that Judy died. I'll always remember how much she helped when I first met her in Denver 40+ years ago. I was really stuggling and she was someone I could talk to and count on. You have my sympathy for your difficult loss. Susan Gifford

Yes, Judy will be remembered for her wonderful love of artistic expression. I enjoyed meeting her in Denver during her visits there, and hope, Zwi, that you are finding support from friends and family. My thoughts go out to you and to Andrea and Jennifer, who were students in my fifth grade class years ago.
