Julian Valdez

Julian, was born on June 19, 1922 in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. He passed away in Fresno on March 31, 2011 at the age of 88. In his native Torreon, Julian worked for the Penoles Refinery. He came to the United States in 1956, residing in Mendota, California. He worked in the field of agriculture, and upon retirement, he worked for the city of Mendota. In his free time, Julian enjoyed watching and going to baseball games, fishing, and spending time with his nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. To his nieces and nephews, Julian will always be known as "Tio."

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his two sisters, one brother, and many nieces and nephews.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 7:OO pm and Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mendota, California. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
