Julianita "Julia" Adame
February 3, 1920 – February 16, 2012
Precious Julia Adame, 92, of Fresno, CA, went to be with Jesus on February 16, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Julia was born in Tracy, CA., one of ten children to Antonio and Francisca Morelos.
Julia's story of love began with her husband Ben, childhood sweethearts, they married at the ages of 17 and 18. They resided in Tracy, CA., until Ben's Railroad job transferred the whole family to Fresno, CA., in 1957.
Early on, as a homemaker, she demonstrated her entrepreneurial and charitable talents not only as a homemaker, but as a boarding house owner, and as the neighborhood child care giver, "free" to women who "had to work" outside the home. Her natural business talents and frugality helped her and Ben overcome the struggles of a young couple raising eight children.
A true Matriarch to her blossoming family, she taught and lead by example. She was always there for family and friends who needed someone to talk to about problems or to celebrate their successes. "You have to do what you have to do", was her motto! Memories of true love, parties, mariachis, dance contests and laughter permeated her home.
Other than Ben who passed away in 1995, her greatest loves were prayer to a faithful God and Monica who had Down's Syndrome. Family and friends understand that after Monica's passing in 2011, Julia believed that her purpose and "job" were accomplished on earth.
She is preceded in death, by her loving husband, Ben Adame after 57 years of marriage; precious daughters Juanita and Monica Adame; and beloved son, Bennie Adame.
Survived by brothers, George and Joe Morelos of Tracy, CA.; sons, David Adame and wife Josie of Fresno, Paul Villagomez of Fresno; daughters, Lydia Hadley and husband Pete of Madera, CA., Isabel Campos and husband Agustin of Manteca, CA., Linda Verdugo and husband Robert of Citrus Heights, CA.; 30 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren; and 57 great, great grandchildren.
