Julie Marie Julian

Julie was born on April 22nd in Santa Clara County at the O’Connor Hospital. She shared a birthday with her paternal grandmother whom she shared a special bond. In 1963, Julie was her first grandchild and a treasured birthday gift - finally she got her little girl. Evident at a young age, Julie was vivacious and gifted. She attended Sanger High School, and was a spirited Apache earning accolades ranging from honors to cheer. She graduated from Fresno State in Design with honors and as a lifelong Kappa Alpha Theta sister. After graduating with her Bachelors of Arts in Design, Art History continued to inspire her; so much so that she began her Masters in Art History from her alma mater, Fresno State.

Her career blossomed over the years. She started as a men's clothing buyer for Weinstock’s in Sacramento. With an eye for design, she was a natural in this buying space. Years later, she ventured into Spanish Radio. Here she was a respected and treasured asset in radio traffic. She brought excellence, a wonderful attitude, and an infectious spirit to every task throughout her career. That commitment continued into what she considered to be her most important job - motherhood.

Above all else, she was a mother. She loved fiercely, protected relentlessly, and gave of herself without hesitation. She had an extraordinary gift for seeing the best in people, encouraging them when they doubted themselves, and speaking life into them with words that carried both compassion and conviction. She was a trusted confidant to so many, the kind of person who could be entrusted with your deepest burdens and never betray your confidence. Her integrity was unwavering, and she remains the most trustworthy person I have ever known.

She shared an extraordinary and loving marriage of 30 years with her husband, Chris. Their bond was rare. It was an otherworldly love. Their marriage was marked by true partnership, unwavering support, and a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with joy, purpose, and God-given peace, facing every challenge hand in hand. Unfortunately, Chris preceded Julie in death unexpectedly only a year before her own passing. It brings the family peace to know they are reunited once again and both are in the loving presence of Jesus.

Julie shared an exceptionally deep and beautiful bond with her daughter, Eva. More than a mother, she was Eva's trusted advisor, confidant, and greatest source of wisdom and encouragement. They delighted in a shared love of design, beautiful homes, fashion, animals, and, above all, their faith in God. Julie and Chris intentionally instilled in Eva the values that defined their life: kindness, integrity, generosity, grace, and a deep love for family. Through a mother’s unwavering love, guidance, and example, she shaped not only who Eva became, but how she loves and lives today. Their relationship was one of profound friendship, mutual admiration, and unconditional love - a bond that will forever remain one of life's greatest blessings.

Julie possessed remarkable discernment and was never afraid to speak the truth, even when it was difficult. Her strength was immovable, offering wisdom, stability, and protection to those she loved. She had a keen eye for beauty and design, transforming ordinary spaces into places of warmth and beauty. She enjoyed learning about the garden, American politics, and creating a beautiful home.

She was so full of life. Her greatest loves were her family and her relationship with God. She never stopped seeking to know Him more deeply, allowing her faith to shape the way she loved, served, and lived. Some of her happiest memories were made in Maui, surrounded by the people she cherished most. Her life was a testament to steadfast love, unwavering faith, and the quiet strength that leaves an enduring legacy in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Eva Julian; precious mother, Angie Antognoli; dear sister, Kristen Antognoli; brother, Greg and sister-in-law, Renee Antognoli; father-in-law, Dr. Robert Julian “Bob”; sister-in-law, Karen and brother-in-law, the Honorable Brian Arax; brother-in-law, Dr. Robert and sister-in-law Dr. Nooshin Julian; sister-in-law, Jenny and brother-in-law Tom Gibson; brother-in-law; and 9 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her treasured husband, Chris Julian, the love of her life, and by her cherished father, Ted Antognoli—both of whom were taken far too soon. Though deeply missed, Julie's family rejoices in the promise that she is now reunited with those she loved, and resting forever in the presence of her Savior.
