Kandy Coleen Lee

September 13, 1946July 24, 2019

Born Kandy Coleen Konon on September 13, 1946 in Los Banos, CA.

Kandy began her new journey with her family by her side on the evening of Wednesday, July 24, 2019.

Kandy graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1964. She attended Fresno City College. She retired after 29 plus years of service from Pac Bell, A.T. & T.

Kandy really enjoyed watching NASCAR and professional sports that included former Fresno State athletes.

Kandy was preceded in death by her mother and father, Irene and Peter Konon, her sister, Catherine and husband James Maddox and nephew, Doyle Maddox, all of Fresno.

Kandy is survived by her brother, Paul and nephew, Peter Konon of Fresno; cousin, Ross Maddox and wife, Donna; cousin, Cheryl Maddox Cherry and husband, Tom all of Clovis; and Aunts, Helen and Evelyn Konon of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by many wonderful friends that have stayed close to each other over the years.

Kandy's wish is that those attending her service celebrate her life and not mourn her passing. Remember her with smiles and laughter for that is how she remembers you.

A Graveside Service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at 12:00 noon.

I was privileged to work with Kandy @ operator services.
I remember her love of Red Skeleton art.
After we retired she spearheaded our operator luncheons.
Rest Kandy & watch over us.

Gosh, thirty nine years of racing memories. It started thru Cheryl at Madera. Found out you were from Los Banos and knew Les' best friend. Was meant to be. So many laughs and stories were made during those nights. Two trips to Phoenix Raceway, sharing a suite, made for a lot of the memories we all have. Midnight breakfast after the race. Your laugh, I can still hear you! You will be missed. I kick myself for not calling two weeks ago when I wanted to. Love you always.

I've known Kandy for over 40 years. First at Pacific Telephone as a cord board operator, then at the computerized office by the Fresno Airport. We had some good times there. After that office closed, she and her mother came to me for help with income taxes. I was always impressed by how she cared for her mother all those years.
I will miss her very much. Bonnie

I have so many fond memories it's hard to pick just one. She loved the 4th of July as much as I do and would always come bearing gifts for the kids she was like a big kid herself enjoying family food and fireworks. When ever she would come over she always would bring our dog Bandit a bone are toy he loved her too. And she always had a smile for everyone we will miss her dearly❤
