Larry was born in Chillicothe, MO to Lester and Mildred Hallenberg. A few years later his parents moved him and his sister, Lois, to Fresno, CA. Larry graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1955, where he earned the nickname “Mouse.”
After high school he joined the Naval Reserves. He was aboard the U.S.S. Arnold (DD-869). Also, he started working for a local car dealership, Fresno Motor Sales. He eventually became the parts manager. After leaving, he worked for Herwaldt Oldsmobile, where he was the body shop manager. Larry oversaw the body shop from its beginning to end.
Larry had a deep passion for cars and boats. He spent most of his free time going to the lake in his Kindsvater flat bottom.
Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Stevie. Larry leaves behind, his sister Lois, three children, Tiffany, Gina, Jason and his wife Heidi. Also, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
