Barbara in Visalia, CA., moving to Arizona for a brief period of time, but soon returned to
Fresno where he attended Roosevelt High School.
Upon graduation from High School, he moved to Germany while serving in the United States
Army. After receiving an honorable discharge, he returned to Fresno where he

Larry worked for Pacific Telephone Company for 45 years as a long-range planning engineer.
It is there he met his future wife Esther Abundis to whom he was married for fifty years.
Larry loved fishing, puttering in his garage, tinkering with his computer, playing chess and
backgammon, but more than anything else, he loved being surrounded by his family and friends.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and a loyal and dependable friend.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Larry is survived by his wife Esther, daughter Lisa Jewell, son-in-law James P. Jewell III,
Grandsons James IV and John, and his sisters Bessie Wirth and Barbara Green.
