After graduating from Fresno High School, he enlisted in the Navy serving 4 years in the Korean War (Conflict) on the USS Kearsarge (SVA33). Besides attending in his naval duties, he was also an amateur boxer while serving. When discharged he was offered a contract to become a professional middleweight boxer, but declined.
He worked for Vendorlator Manufacturing Company and during his 46 years retired as lead manager. He enjoyed camping especially fishing, Nascar racing, boxing, going to the Fresno State Bulldog games and reminiscing, he remembered everyone in his path.
Jack is survived by his son Rocky Couto and daughter in law, Ann; daughter Valerie Puccini-Hutchison and son in law, Scott; daughter Claudia Franklin and son in law, Jim; and daughter Kimberly Haworth and son in law, Russ, along with his sister in law, Margaret Puccini and his 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Leslie Puccini and Melvin Puccini.
Jack was well loved and will be missed.
