

Linda Jean Thompson Garrett, 66, of Fresno, CA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 13, 2015. She was born July 20, 1949, in San Jose, CA, but spent her formative years in Medina, NY, which she always considered her home.
Linda loved to sing and play the piano. During the holiday season, she would often entertain visitors at the Clovis Senior Center or Meux Home Museum, playing and singing Christmas carols. She was also a gifted artist, winning numerous awards at the Fresno County Fair for her hand-made lampshades, dolls, and beadwork. Several of Linda’s Victorian-style lamp shades are on permanent display at the Meux Home Museum in Fresno.
She is survived by her son Chris, his wife Lyn, and their daughter Riley, as well as her brother, John Thompson, sister Leslie Thompson and many other loving family members who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Meux Home Museum, 1007 R St, Fresno, CA 93721, on November 8, 2015, at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Diabetes Association.
