Lio Wai Cheng

Wai Cheng was born in China and immigrated from Hong Kong in 1992. She made Fresno/Clovis her home for the past 33 years. She was the heart of our family, a strong, loving, and selfless woman who dedicated her life to caring for others.

After our father passed away twenty-one years ago, she raised my brother and me with incredible courage and love. Her strength carried us through the hardest times, and her tough love taught us what true devotion looks like.

Mom also played a huge role in helping raise my two daughters, Jade and Ella. She gave them the same love, patience, and guidance that she gave to us. She was our constant source of support, always there with a warm meal, a helping hand, or her brand of tough love and honest encouragement.

Her kindness reached far beyond our family. She was a woman of few words, but everyone who met her felt her warmth, strength, and steady spirit.

Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in knowing that Mom’s love and strength will always live within us. She will forever be remembered as our rock, our teacher, and our greatest blessing.

懷念我們親愛的母親與祖母——奠廖惠貞

我們懷著沉痛的心情，宣佈我們摯愛的母親與祖母, 奠廖惠貞, 於 2025年9月22日 安詳辭世。

母親出生於中國，於1992年自香港移民至美國，在弗雷斯諾／克洛維斯定居三十三年。她是我們家庭的靈魂人物，一位堅強、慈愛又無私的女性，一生奉獻於照顧家人與他人。

在父親於二十一年前離世後，母親以無比的勇氣與愛，獨自撫養我和弟弟長大。她的堅毅支撐著我們度過最艱難的時光，而她那嚴中帶愛的教導，讓我們明白了真正的奉獻與付出。

母親在協助我撫養兩位女兒, Jade 與 Ella 的過程中，也傾注了無盡的愛、耐心與智慧。她始終是我們全家的依靠, 總是以一頓熱騰騰的飯菜、一雙援手，或她那誠懇而堅定的鼓勵，給予我們溫暖與力量。

她的善良遠遠超越家庭。母親雖然言語不多，但每一位與她相遇的人，都能感受到她的溫暖、堅韌與安定的力量。

雖然我們的心無比悲痛，但我們深知母親的愛與力量將永遠留存在我們心中。她將永遠被懷念, 是我們的靠山、我們的老師，也是我們一生中最大的福氣。

A wake will be held on October 13, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, located at 202 North Teilman, Fresno, CA 93706-1310, United States.

The funeral service will take place on the same day, October 13, 2025, at 10:00 am at the same venue. Interment will follow at Clovis Cemetery.
