Lisa Marie Martinez, age 60, loving mother, dedicated grandmother (Lola), and supportive wife, gained her wings on January 6, 2025, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Lisa was born on November 13, 1964, in Colorado and was the oldest of five. She endured so much heartache but was always so positive, loving, and strong. She married her husband, Richard, in 1986, and they had their twin daughters.
As a mother, she was simply the best. She dedicated her life to being present in her daughters’ lives and even started working for Fresno Unified School District when they began elementary school. She followed them through middle school and shared every milestone along the way. Lisa loved her family and was the glue that kept everyone together. Being a beam of pure love and kindness, she formed tremendous friendships and impacted so many people’s lives. Her home was a safe place for all, including her fur babies.
She will be greatly missed by anyone who was lucky enough to have known her, but especially by her husband, Richard Martinez; her daughters, Audrey Martinez and Angelina Aquino; and her grandchildren, Jeffrey Aquino, Emma Aquino, Ella Aquino, and Olivia Perez.
