Lucretia Angela Cassinerio

Lucretia has been a resident of Fresno California all her life. She was the first born to her parents Mauro and Mary De Benedetto. Later meeting and marrying Joseph A Cassinerio, her husband of 51.5 years who predeceased her. She was a loving Mother to Joseph Anthony, Gerard Maurice, and Gregory James and Noni to four grandchildren Joseph Anthony III, Ashley Nicole, Dominic Robert and Gianna Marie.

Lucretia attended and graduated from Fresno State University and became a teacher in Madera Unified School District, then to Fresno Unified where she taught more of her 35 years mostly at CALWA ELEMENTARY.

She was not too athletic but enjoyed a game of the links and taught all her boys how to golf. She was an avid reader who could never put a good book down. She also loved playing Bridge and NEVER passed a slot machine she thought was the next one to PAY IT BIG!!!!!! She enjoyed traveling and saw many sites inside and outside the USA including Washington DC, The Virgina Appalachian Mountains, Italy. Greece, Turkey and Spain.

She stood fiercely for what was right even when it was not popular, She always gave her opinion asked for or not and lost her filter many years ago.

She touched many lives thru her career, and nothing pleased her more than a note from a past student sharing their lives or accomplishments with her.

She will be sorely missed as a Mother, a Grandmother and friend to many. The lack of her presence will be felt by all who knew her.
