

Manning "Joe" Ferreira of Clovis Ca passed away November 23, 2024 at the age of 78 at the Veterans Hospital in Fresno, Ca. Joe was born in Palo Alto Ca and was the beloved partner and husband of Csilla Ferreira for over two decades. He is survived by his two children Scott Ferreira, his family, Mandy Furtado, her family, his older sister Patricia O'Hanneson ,her family, younger sister Constance Gonsalves, her daughter, and older brother Richard "Nick" Nicholson. Papa Joe is also survived by six grandchildren.
Joe joined the Marine Corp at the age of 19 and was shipped to Vietnam where he saw plenty of combat in helicopters and on the ground. He earned numerous ribbons and medals during his service in Vietnam. After he completed his honorable service, Joe began his 42 year career with PG&E in the transmission department as a Lineman and Helicopter line construction instructor. Throughout his career, Joe earned many awards.
Joe was always the life of the party. He never knew a stranger and was always there with a helping hand for everyone. Always willing to share his knowledge. Always generous. Not one to let the grass grow under his feet he was always doing something adventurous. There was always a "Joe story" that would have you laughing. Joe truly was "THE MAN THE MYTH, THE LEGEND" He will be greatly missed.
Celebration of Life Services will be be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11:00am at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E Nees Ave Fresno, CA 93720. A Private Luncheon Reception will follow.
