Manuel Fernandez Morales

Manuel Fernandez Morales, 84, was born July 29, 1942, in Seguin, Texas, and passed away on October 10, 2026. He was a longtime resident of Fresno, California, and will be remembered with deep respect and lasting gratitude by all who knew him.

Manuel was preceded in death by his father, Toribio Morales; his mother, Mariana Fernandez; and his daughter, Monica Morales Johnson.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Julia Herrera Morales of over 50 years; his daughter, Rosemary Morales Leal; his step-sons, John Henry Altamirano, Daniel Altamirano, Mark Andrew Altamirano, and James Altamirano; and his step-daughters, Margaret Altamirano and Nancy Ocegueda. Manuel also leaves numerous other family and friends to cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Fresno, 475 North Broadway, Fresno, CA 93701, on October 27, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Prayer Service will follow at the same location on October 27, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Saint John's Cathedral, 2814 Mariposa Street, Fresno, CA 93721, on October 28, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. A Committal Service will take place at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, 264 North Blythe Ave, Fresno, CA 93706, on October 28, 2026, from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm.

Pallbearers will be Henry J. Altamirano, Michael J. Altamirano, Mark A. Altamirano, Jr., James Altamirano, Jr., DeAndre J. Clark, and Rogelio Ocegueda, Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Javier Marquez.
