

Manuel passed away in Fresno, CA at the age of 75 with his loving family and friends at his bedside.
Manuel was raised by his grandmother Luz Gonzales at an early age. During Manuel’s early years, Manuel would spend most of the day attending school and being cared for by nuns at a catholic church in Mexicali B.C. Mexico., while Luz worked at a nearby café.
Manuel subsequently moved to the San Joaquin Valley, where he attended school and worked.
Manuel later enlisted into the U.S Army and became a member of the 187 Airborne known as “RAKKASANS” Manuel was a Korea veteran. Manuel completed his service with the Army and returned to Mendota, CA where he subsequently entered into a law enforcement career and served as a Police Sergeant for the Mendota Police Department.
Manuel eventually returned to civilian employment and worked as a truck driver for many years.
Manuel Rodriguez Gonzales was preceded in death by wife Mary Josie Gonzales, son Jesus Manuel Gonzales, mother Tomasa Martinez and Grandmother Luz Gonzales. Manuel is survived by his son Richard Thomas Gonzales, Daughters, Cathy Susan Gonzales Moore, Catherine Irene Gonzales Albidrez, Cheryl Ann Gonzales and Carol Lynn Gonzales Borgogno, he also raised two grandchildren as his own, Marie Angelina Gonzales and Anna Maria Gonzales-Garcia, grandchildren Jesse Gonzales Jr., Amy Gonzales, Joseph Gonzales, Christina Gonzales Federeghi, Richard Thomas Gonzales Jr., Priscilla Marie Gonzales, Melissa Michelle Gonzales, Stephanie Rose Gonzales, Matthew Thomas Gonzales, Michael Guerrero, Yvonne Guerrero, Sylvia Guerrero, Carlos Guerrero, Freddy Alvarado, Rudy Alvarado, Joseph Alvarado, Marcelino Alvarado, Raquel Alvarado and 36 great-grandchildren. Manuel is also survived by brother’s Ynez Martinez, Eliseo Martinez, Pedro Saiz and Tomas Saiz and sister’s Margie Cardiel and Luz Martinez.
