Manuel enjoyed a long career with Penny Newman Grain Company until his retirement in 1990.
He began a second career in 2004 with Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & BlairFuneral Home where he enjoyed being of service and the
friendship of his co-workers.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Victoria
Manuel is survived by his four children, Lisa Sousa, Cathie Sousa-Wynn and her husband Gary Wynn, Manny Sousa and his partner Randy Ellison,
Mary Sousa and her husband Bob Havercamp; and his grandchildren, Chris Sousa-Wyn and his wife Charise, their son Ronan, Marynbeth Sousa-Wynn
and her partner Dave Verbeck, Andrew Sousa-Wynn and his wife Jennifer, and Matt Sousa-Wynn and his girlfriend Sammi Rogers.
He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
A Recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Memorial Service will be held at Whitehurst Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Saturday,
October 18, 2014, at 9:00 am.
