Maria del Carmen Cortez is survived by her mother, Angelina Cabrera; sisters, Irene Medina, Angelica Garcia, Norma Ibarra, Sonia Cortez, and Veronica Cortez; and brother, Christopher Garcia. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Apoloino Cabrera; grandmother, Maria Cabrera; and father, Andres Cortez.
A Rosary Service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4636 W. Dakota Ave, Fresno, CA 93722, on July 2, 2026, at 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am. Maria Del Carmen will be laid to rest at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mario Cabrera Sr., Christopher Garcia, Mario Cabrera Jr., Angelica Garcia, Manuel Cabrera, Marcus Cabrera, Hector Cabrera, and Diane Cabrera.
