Maria Laura Martinez-Basua

Born September 10th 1931, she was the eldest daughter of Anastacio and Juana Martinez. Maria Laura was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She married the love of her life Gilbert E. Basua on March 11, 1957. As soon as his Army assignment ended they married and moved to Piru, California where she had one son and three daughters. They later moved to Kerman, California.

Maria Laura was faithful to her Catholic faith and never wavered. She loved gardening her roses, reading current events, and shopping. She was proud of her family.

She is survived by her sister Guadalupe Flores in Fort Worth, Texas, daughters Laura, Elizabeth, and Gloria, son in laws, six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Gilbert E. Basua, her son Gilbert Jr. parents Anastacio and Juana Martinez, brothers Victor, Albert, Issac Martinez, and sister Elena Ibarra
