Marilyn was born to George and Margaret Gage on April 27, 1937. She was raised in Clovis. Marilyn was the oldest of 8. Marilyn graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School in 1955 where she met her future husband, Russell Renna.
She attended Fresno State and graduated in 1959 with a degree in liberal studies.
Marilyn kept her strong Catholic faith in the forefront of all she did. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, Holy Rosary Orphan Society, Alpha Delta Kappa sorority, AA UW, and Italian Catholic Federation where she made many life-long friends.
Russ and Marilyn were married on August 20, 1960 and had 4 children.
After she raised her children, Marilyn was a kindergarten teacher at St. Anthony's school for over 20 years.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and sister Susan.
She will be missed by her husband, sons Jeff (Tracey) and Stephen (Laurie) and daughters Julie (Javier) and Becky (Lou). She was adored by her 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons, her siblings and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Marilyn's name may be sent to Poverello House or Catholic Charities.
