Mark Steven Copley left this world on August 11, 2026. He was born February 19, 1956, in Grand Island, Nebraska. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Lorine Copley.
Mark leaves his wife, Katherine Copley, and his children, Wendy Berry, Robin Copley, and Sarah Copley to cherish and share his memory.
Upon graduation from Hoover High School in Fresno, CA, he joined the U S Army where he proudly served his country as an Army Military Police officer. Following his Honorable Discharge, he worked in pump manufacturing. He worked his way up to a Senior Inspector requiring travel both within the Continental United States, as well as Asia. He then returned to serve his country as an Investigator for United States Investigative Services until he medically retired in 2009.
Mark was proud of his service to his country and his accomplishments as an inspector in pump manufacturing. He was a devoted son, father and husband. He enjoyed music and marksmanship. He had a special place in his heart for dogs.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to organizations serving Veteran needs or “no kill” animal shelters.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720, US, on August 27, 2026, at 11:00 am.
