Mary Negrete Cardenas

Mary attended school in Williams, Az. The family moved to Fresno, Ca in 1941 where she graduated from Edison High School. During her long and beautiful life she worked at the National Dollar Store for many years and then at her brother's shop Bernard's Cleaners, before retiring. She was a very creative person with many diverse talents. She often made quilts and crafts for St. Mary's Altar Society and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She was a member of the Guadalupana Society at St. John's Cathedral.

Mary is preceded in death to Our Lord's House by her parents, Hipolito L. and Juanita Negrete Cardenas; her brothers, Jose, Hipolito N., Daniel, Bernard, Frank; and her sisters, Refugio, Maria de Jesus and Virginia.

Mary is survived by her sisters, Armida Moreno, Cecilia Rodriguez, Raquel Roman; and her brother Guillermo Negrete.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home, on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, on Wed- nesday, January 5, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.

Remembrances may be made to St. Mary's Queen of Apostles Building Fund or Optimal Hospice.
