

Maurice Fodor, Jr., affectionately known as “Marty,” was born in Fowler, California. He passed away peacefully in Fresno, California, at the age of 89.
Marty was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Janet, who passed away in 2005, and by his sister, Mary, in 2010. He is survived by his three children, four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom were a great source of pride and joy in his life.
Marty spent the majority of his career working for Anderson Clayton Foods. His work took him from Fresno, California, to Dallas, Texas, and eventually back to Fresno prior to the company’s closure. Never one to sit still, Marty held several jobs throughout his life. While living in Dallas, he also worked as a referee and umpire, maintained a paper route, and showcased his craftsmanship by creating and selling custom-made fishing poles.
After returning to Fresno, Marty worked briefly at a camera shop before discovering a role that truly suited him—serving as a tour bus driver for Best Tours & Travel. In this position, he combined his love of travel, people, and storytelling, making lasting impressions on those who traveled with him.
Marty was a wizard with technology, always eager to learn and always wanting the newest and greatest gadgets. He also loved to cook and took great enjoyment in preparing meals for others. His mind remained sharp and engaged right up until the end of his life.
Marty will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his curiosity, his resourcefulness, and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He lived a full life marked by dedication to his family, pride in his work, and an enduring love of learning.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
