I am so saddened by the loss of Meanana. It was my privilege to work with her for several years at Kerman High, where she was an amazing teacher who treated students with respect and love.  She adored her family and was so proud of Daniel, Gabriela, and Claudio.  Her brilliant smile would flash and her dark eyes would sparkle when talking about you.  I have treasured her whimsical Christmas ornaments over the years, and now they will be even more special memories of a bright and talented and witty woman who touched so many lives and warmed so many hearts.  May you find comfort in knowing that so many adored her and cared about her.  Although I will not be in town for her memorial, I will be thinking and praying for her beloved family and friends.

So sad. I worked with her at Central High.  She was a wonderful woman who will be missed.

My deepest condolences to THE Perez Family. I had Mrs. Perez when I was in high school. She was one of my favorite teachers. I enjoyed having her as a teacher cuz she was nice caring loving and gave alot to her students. May she rest in peace and she'll never be forgotten.

Please accept my sincerest condolences. I was blessed to have worked with Meanana as her classroom aide for two years. She was wonderful and patient with her students. They absolutely loved her. I admired her dedication to help her students learn with all the learning challenges they had. Being an RSP Teacher had it's own challenges but you never saw her without a smile. I loved the homemade Christmas ornaments the she and Berenda made. I will always fondly remember Meanana. She was an awesome teacher and I loved working for her in her classroom. Rest in Peace beautiful lady.

I most remember Meanana as a loving, brilliant and inspiring teacher. Always a smile and repetitively made me aspire to be a better teacher. Her gentle spirit was always a pleasure to see at the auction now and then:) She WILL be remembered and missed.

Claude, Daniel and Gobs, and the rest of the family....

I met Anna about 42 years ago when we lived next door to each other on Grantland Avenue. We became instant friends, as did Claude and Curtis. They ended up spending way too much time at Nonini's Winery, but that is another story all by itself. 

Anna and I decided one year that was a little lean, financially, to make our own Christmas gifts......that is how it all began......even though I felt cheap and still ended up going in debt that first year, we gave our gifts to all of our friends and families, and that is how the tradition began.....we got together every year and made Christmas gifts for everyone. It became tradition that we made a larger gift and then an ornament to go with it each year. We got to where everyone would ask us what we were doing for the next year. We had people tell us years later that if it were not for us, they would not have ornaments for their trees.....We had more fun together....anyone that knows her, knows she had a wonderful sense of humor, of which I was usually on the wrong end of the jokes or pranks.....her and Claude would always laugh at how gullible I was....such as the pie in the face......even after moving to different houses, the friendship was always there......I have stories that go on and on and on....our kids grew up together and I love them like my own....When Anna and I were no longer able to do the gift giving, I still loved going over to visit....it was hard, but I was one of the lucky ones and she continued to recognize, and I thank god for that. I had not seen her this past year and I feel very badly for that.....I am sure she knew that my love was always there with her and always will be....my heart is very heavy at losing her and my love goes out to the family....I will always be here for all of you and I will always be here for Anna.....I love her dearly and will miss her greatly.....remember her beautiful smile and laugh....that was Anna.....

PS: Anna, when you see Curtis, please give him a big kiss for me and you two don't spend too much time discussing Claude and my shortcomings.....lol. Love you, my dearest friend, forever!!!

Mr. Perez...we are so sorry for your loss. We loved Mrs. Perez. She was the sweetest person. She loved my Carly when she was in her class and she was always encouraging my Chelsea and watching her softball games. Chelsea received her KUTA scholarship. She will be missed. Love, The Weber Family

Tia Meanana Fufapopo came to our family as my Tio Claudio Pérez' girlfriend about 40 years ago. She cracked up about being an aunt to people older than her. Still she became our Tia and loved by so many. My cousin Renae and I were the flowergirls when they got married. Tia Meanana laughed at our corny jokes, celebrated life events, mentored countless nieces & nephews; as well as, being godmother too. My Tia Meanana welcomed each of us with open arms and love in her heart. I pray for healing for my Tio Claudio and cousins Daniel and Gabriela. You made life full and she so loved you all.

Glaude, Daniel, and Gabriella,  This is Aunty Nika and family in Port Orchard, Washington.  We are in great loss with you and the grandchildren.  Been to Mass for the Lord to welcome "Nana" home and to comfort you with lots of peace and kisses.  I hope at the minimum to be there with you once Sekio lets me know of your plans.  Know that you are all in our prayers.  One person who is glad to welcome Meanana home, her Dad, Fuapopo.  And to be sure the rest of our dearly departed extended family, but him in particular.
