

Meanana Perez, born in Utulei, American Samoa, passed away, surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Community Medical Center in Fresno, CA. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she was a dedicated teacher, spending six years as a physical education teacher and 25 years as a resource specialist in special education. Outside the classroom, she was a die-hard San Francisco Giants and 49er fan. Meanana was best known for her generosity and kindness. She had a big heart and made friends everywhere she went. Meanana will be truly missed, but never forgotten.
Meanana is survived by her beloved husband Claudio, who she was married to for over 40 years.
Meanana is lovingly remembered by her mother Usoimalo; two children, Daniel and his wife Jessica, and Gabriella and her husband Samuel; siblings, Sekio, Eseta and her husband Samir and Rose; nieces, Natalie and Chantal; and her eight grandchildren; Mark, Nicholas, Zoe, Katelynn, Zadie, Zechariah, Jacob, and Spencer.
