Meri Nitta, age 93, of Fresno, California passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Meri was born July 22, 1924 in San Jose, California to Kaneichi and Hatsuko Yamaichi.

Meri is survived by her daughters Jeanne Sullenger, Nancy Patterson, grandchildren, Emily and Christian Kugler, Rosemeri Patterson and companion Douglas Johnston, siblings Mitsue Yamamoto, Jimi Yamaichi, Yoshiko Ichikawa, Inako Uchida and Richard Yamaichi.

A memorial service for Meri will be held Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Fresno Betsuin Family Dharma Center, 2690 E. Alluvial, Fresno, California 93720.
