He was born in Fresno, California on June 22, 1972 to Javier Chapa and Rosana Sanders. He grew up in Fresno, CA and lived in Arizona for 8 years.
He graduated from Clovis High School in June of 1990 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he served for 15 months before receiving an Honorable Discharge due to a physical disability existing prior to entry. While serving, he earned the National Defense Service Medal along with a Sharpshooter Rifle Badge.
Michael is survived by his two daughters, Cecily and Angel, his parents Javier and Rosana, as well as his brother Jerry and his 2 grandchildren.
Michael worked for 20 plus years in the plumbing trade in Fresno and Arizona. His plumbing jobs consisted in working in multi-family/residential housing and education and health care projects.
He enjoyed listening to music, and riding his Harley, but his passion is expressing his art work in tattooing. He found great joy in driving Chevy Camaros.
His best friend and loyal companion for 13 years, Blanco (his dog) are united again, with Blanco passing away on February 15, 2024.
Michael, we love you and you will be missed by family and friends.
A rosary service for Michael will be held Monday, March 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, 202 North Teilman, Fresno, CA 93706, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
