Michael "Mike" Jauregui age 88, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. He was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico on September 29, 1937. Michael was a twin , unfortunately his brother passed shortly after birth. His family moved to El Paso, Texas, where he attended catholic school and later high school. His family than moved to California and settled in Clovis.
Mike joined the US Army in 1960, had basic training at Fort Ord, California, and was apart of the 4th Infantry Division. He was sent on tour to Berlin, Germany, during the Berlin Crisis and guarded the Berlin Wall. Mike was honorably discharged in 1963 with the rank of Sp4 (E-4) and remained in reserve obligation until 1966. He was awarded the following medals: Good Conduct Medal, Army Occupation Medal with Berlin Airlift Device, Armed Forces Expeditions Medal, Expert Badge with Carbine Bar, Machine Gun Bar with Pistol Bar M14 and M16 Automatic Weapon Expert.
After discharge he became a Naturalized US Citizen.
He was very proud of his military experience and his citizenship.
Mike worked mostly as an Automotive Service Advisor at Sears, Montgomery Ward and Clawson.
Mike was one of 12 siblings. All except one, have preceded in death, including his parents; Marcos and Felicitas Jauregui. His deceased brothers are Vicente Sandoval, Herbert, Rodolfo, Gustavo, and Jess Jauregui. His sisters are Marina Ortiz, Feliciana Arevalo, Pascuala Delgado, Elvira Garcia, and Bertha Guzman.
He is survived by his wife Stella; daughters; Gracie Brunt (Richard) of Fresno; Monica Young (Shawn) of Escondido, CA; and Nancy Arosemena from San Antonio Texas. Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He is also survived by one brother, Arturo Jauregui of Clovis.
Mike was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for many years, where he was a lector and usher for the early Spanish Mass, before moving to the Windham Senior Retirement Independent Living.
Mike's loves were his family and his faith. His passion were golf and painting.
He will be remembered for his readiness to help others and his witty sense of humor.
His family wants to thank the staff and residents of The Windham for all their support. Also, thanks to the care he received at St. Agnes Medical Center. A special thanks to the entire staff at Hinds Hospice inpatient home, where Mike and his family were treated with amazing compassion.
