Michelle was born to Wilma Waldroop on July 17, 1964 in Fresno, arriving fifteen minutes before her identical twin sister Rochelle. She grew up in Fresno and attended McLane High School, graduating in 1982. She then went on to pursue medical studies in the field of radiology. Upon graduation, she began her career as an x-ray technologist at St. Agnes Medical Center in Fresno until an untimely back injury at work ended her career.
Michelle loved her family and friends very much, and she was loved by so many people. In addition to her work as an x-ray technologist Michelle enjoyed gardening and had quite a green thumb. She was also active in real estate and did rather well, affording her to travel to Hawaii on many occasions. She so loved the island of Oahu, she purchased a vacation condominium in Honolulu, but her ultimate dream was to spend a summer in Tuscany, Italy.
Though Michelle never married or had children, she loved her nephew Jimmy as if he were her own son. He brought so much joy to her life, sharing a very special relationship. She had a weakness for babies and puppies, and had no reservations or shame in proclaiming her weaknesses for their soft bellies.
Michelle was preceded in death by her much loved brother in law, James Robert Knoll Jr., her cherished Uncle Willy Waldrop, and her cherished fur baby, Maggie.
Michelle is survived by her mother, her twin sister and eternal best friend Rochelle Knoll, her nephew James Knoll III, and her loving boyfriend Michael Thomson who brought her much love and joy. Michelle will be deeply missed for an eternity.
At Michelle’s request, no services will be held. Remembrances may be made to the Michelle Schooley Memorial Fund.
