Mieko Kawate passed on May 31, 2026, at the age of 94. Born January 18, 1932, in Tokyo, Japan to Senzo and Otome Cho. Mieko was a resident of Sanger, California. She is survived by her husband Satoru, children Lucy Kawate Robinson, Elwyn, Susie and Marcia, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at Fresno Betsuin Buddhist Temple, 2690 E. Alluvial Ave, Fresno, CA 93720, on June 27, 2026, at 10:00 am.
