Mildred Geneva Stettler

Mildred was born December 6, 1917, in Marion County, Arkansas. She was one of four children born to the union of the late Elbert Wincer and Melinda Anne (Pope) Henslee.

On October 3, 1952, Mildred married Ronald Arthur Stettler. Ron preceded her in death in 1988.

As a young woman, Mildred worked at restaurants in the Kingsburg, California, area, and later owned and operated her own restaurant in Fresno, California. She moved to Waynesville, Missouri in 1992, where she made her home until her passing.

Mildred was an active member of the Fresno Assembly of God Church, and attended the local Assembly church upon moving to Waynesville. She enjoyed doing crafts, growing flowers and cooking for her family and friends.

Mildred will be greatly missed by her three children: Luann Brown and husband, Clay of Waynesville, MO, Jerry Hilton and wife, Phyllis of Paso Robles, CA and Judy Jones of Fresno, CA; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Mildred was also preceded in death by one son: James Gilliland and three siblings: Jack and Hershel Henslee and Myrtle (Henslee) Walker.
