Monica R. Adame

October 23, 1959 - March 26, 2011

Monica passed away peacefully to be with her loving Jesus on Saturday, March 26, 2011. Her mother and family were by her side.

Monica is preceded in death by her father, Ben Adame; sister, Julianita Adame; and brother, Bennie Felix Adame.

Monica is survived by her mother, Julia Adame; brothers, David and his wife Josie and Paul Villagomez; sisters, Isabel Campos and her husband Agustin, Lydia Hadley and her husband Peter, and Linda Verdugo and her husband Robert. She also leaves behind a multitude of loving and treasured aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Monica touched many lives during her walk of life. She attended Kelso, Addicott and Rata Schools, graduating from Cook School. Monica was an original attendee of Break the Barriers and Special Olympics in Fresno. She took pride in her jobs at Red Robin and Hometown Buffet. Most recently, she resided at the Bhagetti Community Home in Clovis and attended CVTC East Day Program.

Monica enjoyed car washing events, parties, music, art, dancing, riding her bike, going on vacations and imitating Elvis & Popeye. Most of all she loved Jesus and enjoyed attending church at Our Lady of Victory with Mom and brother David.

Monica only had one hand, but there was nothing she wouldn’t try. Her strength of character, charm and faith in life and people will be missed by all, especially by her mom, who she affectionately called “Mama Goose.”

We would like to give special thanks to the Emergency and ICU Doctors, Nursing, Respiratory and Ancillary staff of Community Medical Center of Clovis.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31, 2011, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church on Friday, April 1, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Fresno Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Central Valley Regional Center for the Developmentally Disabled or Community Regional Medical Center, Clovis.
