Morito " Mo" Nakamoto

Born on October 19, 1922, Mo was the son of Moritaro and Ukino Nakamoto. Mo attended Fresno State University, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Mo was married to Peggy Yasui for 62 years.

Mo spent 35 years working for the County of Fresno, holding a couple of positions from social work to his position as a Tax Assessor for the County. After Mo retired from the County, he worked for Sumitomo Bank in Public Relations.

Mo and Peggy were active leaders of the youth groups at the Fresno Buddhist Church and founded the summer youth camp that has been going strong for 47 years. Mo served as President for two consecutive terms for the Fresno Betsuin.

Mo is survived by his wife Peggy; three children and their spouses, Janis and Gregg Sera, Toby and Kris Nakamoto, Sharon and Andy Saldana; and three grandchildren, Kyle Nakamoto, Nicole Nakamoto and Michael Sera.

Viewing will be held at the Lisle Funeral Home on Saturday, August 17, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Fresno Betsuin Family Dharma Center, 2720 E. Alluvial, Fresno, California on Sunday, August 18, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.
