Her family moved to California when she was an infant and eventually settled in Fresno. Naomi graduated from Fresno Technical High School where she lettered in basketball.
She married Clifford Rowlee on December 19, 1942. They had no children. Clifford passed away in July of 2000, after 57 years of marriage.
Naomi worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles for over 30 years. Cliff and Naomi moved to Sandpointe, ID in 1976, and returned to Fresno in June of 1985. They loved to travel and drove all over the United States taking in the sights. They would spend about two weeks every September up at Cedar Grove, CA, and invited us to join them.
After Cliff passed away, Naomi joined a Senior Citizens Thai Chi class and became friends with many of them, especially the instructor GG, Ruby, Shirley, Lucille, and Teri. All of them became like family to her. The last 14 months of her life she was a resident of Paintbrush Assisted Living & Memory Care. She was well liked by the staff and made even more friends, especially Anna, Carlina, and Concha.
The family would like to thank the Paintbrush Staff, and St. Agnes Hospice for making Naomi's last year of life carefree.
She was loved very much by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by sisters, Marylyn Bustos, and Geraldine Gallegos, both of Tamunning, Guam; brothers, David Williams and his wife Ramona of Fresno, CA, and Rodney Williams and his wife Marion of Copperas Cove, TX; six nieces; a nephew; six grand-nephews; a grand-niece; and a great-grandnephew.
