Our daughter was a very special young girl. From the time Natalie was five years old she courageously fought for her life against a dreadful childhood disease called Battens. In her short life of 19 years, she touched the lives of many. She was loved by everyone who met her. Natalie was bedridden for 14 of her almost 20 years on this earth.
She attended kindergarten at Maple Creek Elementary School and first grade at Valley Oak Elementary School until she could no longer continue in school.
Natalie was always such a happy young child knowing that one day she would be whole again and with our Lord. We sincerely pray that science will soon find a cure for all these terrible childhood diseases.
We will love and miss you forever Natalie
We would like to thank Natalie's neurologist, Dr. Isabelo Artacho, who had such a kind heart for our family and especially for our two daughters Natalie and Melissa. We also would like to thank all of Natalie's doctors and staff at Children's Hospital, Felicia Puentes at CVRC and all Natalie's caregivers for their wonderful care.
She is preceded in death by her loving sister Melissa; uncle Rich; her grandfathers, Radivoy and Radovan; her Kuma Janet and many great-uncles and great-aunts.
Our Natalie is survived by her loving family: parents, Ron and Radmila; brothers, Michael and Andrew; grandmothers, Zorka and Darinka; her Kum Bob; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends.
