I'm sorry to hear this news about my Aunt Nelle. I always admired the silent strength that my Aunt had. I felt her somewhat shyness and gentleness knowing her all the way back when her first born was born, my cousin Lorraine. I last saw and talked to my Aunt briefly about a month after my Mom passed, 2013. My Mom loved your Mom also. It saddens me that this family have lost contact with the remaining cousins in Fresno. With much Condolences to All.❤️

Mom, I am eternally grateful for the love you have always shown me.  I often think back and remember the small things that really made an impact on my life.  I can remember when I was  a little boy and I would have horrific leg pain. I would climb in bed with you and you would comfort me by teaching me the Lord's prayer.  I have so many wonderful memories. Like when we used to go to Millerton in the summer and you would cook breakfast by the lake. I will miss your special enchiladas you made me for my birthday. I am proud to be your son and happy to have been able to care for you the last part of your life.  I know you are now at peace with Tootsie and Dad.  I love you and will miss you everyday. I  look forward to seeing you all again one sweet day.  

Grandma this is so hard and yet so easy to write if that makes any sense. It's hard because I miss you very much and hurt inside because I've known you my whole life and you've always been someone I could count on always. Some of my Fondest Memories are visiting with you at different points in my life from being a little child running around the eucalyptus trees in Madera carefree to coming to visit you and just hanging out later on at your place.  You always had simple to the point advice that I could always digest properly because I knew in my heart that no matter what I did you would always be there for me. I will continue to do my best to make you proud of me and stay strong. This morning when the sun was rising the colors were so sharp...the pinks and blues reflecting off the ocean lighting up everything around that was still covered in darkness. It's moments like that I feel you now more than ever. When I drove through the mountains the Redwood smelled fresh and the Sun brighter than usual made me feel your energy. I know you are with me in a huge way no matter what. I'm so thankful to have talked to you before you went to be with the ancestors and the things that were said. I told you wherever you go a part of me is with you and that's the truth. I don't worry about not seeing you one day because I know I will and all the other loved ones that have gone before us. Even in this time you have a lesson for me about life and love. To be grateful for the time I have with my loved ones and to not fear what comes after this. I knew this day was coming but your love is keeping me strong because we talked about this many times and I told you I would do my best through it. I'm happy that you are no longer burdened with the world and it's pain and yet my eyes ache to see you in my vision. My ears miss the sensation of hearing your voice. Thank you for being my Grandma and loving us so well I am forever grateful.

Dear Nellie,
Words can never express my gratitude for your presence, love and welcoming  you showed me. You always treated me like family and I will carry that bond forever. Like Yolanda mentioned, without you I would have never became a mother to my beautiful son and your great-grandson. Because of your impact in this universe, I met Vincent and became a family, you molded him so well with your time given and I'm lucky to have moments with you. You truly left a great impact on those around you, including all the children, and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to get to know you. Your a true inspiration to me and I hope you know how much we adore, love and miss you. The way my son looks at you is something pure and one of the most beautiful things to see. Malik says he's playing and talking with you daily. Thank you for sharing your love with us.

Nellie, there is no way I can thank you enough for the gift of family you gave me. If it weren't for you having your son I wouldn't have my  children. My kids are privileged to have you as their Grammy. The memories they have of you will live in their hearts 💕 forever.  I am grateful to God that he took you to heaven where there is no sickness or sadness. Only peace and joy. You will be greatly missed. Christmas eve will never be the same. Love you...❤️

I may not remember this photo being taken, but I have so many more memories with my grandma. She was a constant presence in my life. Christmas Eve always felt extra special because we got to celebrate her birthday as well. I love and miss you Grandma! I'll always remember your smile, hugs, and the conversations we had.
