Nicolas migrated to the US through the Bracero program in 1961, later settling in the SF Bay Area with his wife Sofia and their children. He devoted his career working as a Cook for the finest hotels for San Francisco. He always dreamed of retiring in his hometown of Jala, Nayarit, Mexico where he had invested and built his second home and would frequent each year. Nicolas loved his many dogs he had throughout his life and enjoyed being actively involved in his church and volunteering for the St Vincent De Paul Society. Following his retirement, Nicolas moved to sunny Southern California (Altadena) in 2002. He enjoyed the last three years of his life in Central California (Clovis) with the support and love of his family and grandkids.
