Norma Henrikson was born on January 19, 1929 and went home to be with our Lord on July 5, 2022. Born in Merced to Maddalena and Sabatino Ricci. She attended McKinley Grammar School and Central High School. While working at Security National Bank she met and married the love of her life, Robert Henrikson and they were married for 53 years. Together they raised three daughters. She retired as a Cafeteria Manager from Sun Empire Elementary School and then began traveling around the US visiting 47 of the 50 states. She enjoyed 5 cruises, with the Panama Canal being her favorite, and other countries that included Mexico, Canada, Sweden and Finland.
Norma was an excellent cook with raviolis being her specialty dish at Christmas. She enjoyed passing this talent on to her girls and grandchildren. Knitting, crocheting, sewing and quilting were among her many hobbies. Norma sewed a lot of her girls clothes and made a quilt out of the scraps of material for each of them with each square telling a story. She crocheted afghans for each of her daughters, grandchildren and a few nieces and nephews, knitted balls for the Shriner's Hospital and scarfs for the military.
Norma was a past leader of the Sun Empire 4-H and the Kerman 4-H Clubs where she taught her daughters, granddaughters and their friends. She was a member of the Kerman Widows Club, Weekend Vagabonds Travel Club, Tehran Temple Belles, and Red Hats.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband Bob and sister Eva Rudolph, as well as many family members and good friends.
