With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Olga Garcia Martinez on June 28, 2026. She passed peacefully in the comfort of her home in Firebaugh, Ca at the age of 79. Olga was born on August 8,1946 in Planada, CA. She was born to Martiano Carrasco Garcia and Consuelo Lizarraga Garcia. Olga is one of thirteen brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 58 years - Tommy R. Martinez. Olga was the proud and loving mother of two sons - Tommy Jr (Melanie) and James (Cecelia). She was also a cherished grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren- Nicholas, Dylan and Jocelyn.
Olga has been a hard worker all her life. She started driving a melon truck at the age of 16 years old in the family's trucking business Garcia Brothers Trucking. She was the first woman at the age of 17 to haul Sugar beets in a 1957 Chevy truck and trailer.
Olga was a business owner - The San Joaquin Club, Tom’s Market, TJ Nights, The Martinez Ranch Stables and Outdoor Event Center. Olga enjoyed cheering on her San Francisco Giants and San Francisco Forty Niners. Along with the yearly family camping trips at Millerton Lake, and endless amounts of family gatherings.
She loved the peace and beauty of country living on her four-acre ranch, where she found joy in life’s simple pleasure. A naturally frugal person, she never needed or asked for much. She was content with what she had, deeply grateful for her many blessings, and found happiness in simple things that made life meaningful.
Olga touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.
