I enjoyed emailing Olga nearly every day. It was sad when they stopped coming frequently or at all. Even though we were far apart in miles we were close sisters. I considered her a friend as well as a sister. We lived together for a short while in Vancouver. We enjoyed a cruise together to Greece. She had a wonderful sense of humor and I enjoyed her visits every time she came through town on the way to Canada. She and I always played scrabble with our other friend "Monty." Olga was my maid of honor at my wedding. I will miss her greatly and look forward to seeing her again one day in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with you Sheri and your whole family.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of my dear Aunt Olga. Whenever I saw her we had such lovely chats. Once she brought me a Van Gogh mug from a trip knowing how much I love Van Gogh - this is my favourite mug! Sending love and prayers to everyone that knew her.
I found the below photo and wanted to share it here.

We will forever cherish the visits we had with Olga when travelling through Fresno. Olga was lovely and interesting, she would tell us about some of her memories, which often were humorous. We are forever blessed with our time spent and will miss her. Sending love, thoughts and prayers to her family.

All of my memories of Olga are fond. She was a kind, encouraging person with a sly sense of humor. I cherished her friendship. One semester, she audited my writing course at Fresno Pacific. The 18-20 yr olds welcomed Olga; they were inspired by her dedication to improving her writing.
Later, I was honored whenever Olga shared a reflection or a poem she had written. "Bird of Paradise" is one of my favorites.
Bird of Paradise
I see you standing straight and tall
A stately plant--not bird at all.
Your neck is craning towards the sky
In ever readiness to fly.
I see your petals bright with color
But cannot find a wing or feather.
Your head is poised—perhaps you’ll sing
But listening ears don’t hear a thing.
Oh wingless, songless pseudo bird
I find your title quite absurd.
But never mind, my flightless friend.
The Master makes your beauty blend
And harmonize with all of nature.
Why query I the nomenclature?
