Paul Soligian was born on April 23, 1928. He passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022 with his family. He was a devoted husband, father grandfather, and great grandfather. He fondly earned the name "Papo" and called family his "favorites."
Paul married Josephine Lopopolo and celebrated 57 years together in May. He is also survived by his children; Katherine Pinasco and husband Albert, Paul John Soligian and wife Jamie, grandchildren; Micah and Katie Pinasco, Ashlee and Robert Hansen, and Kira Soligian, great grandchildren; Nixon, Riley, Luca and Marco. Not to be forgotten his faithful, Sheba.
Paul was one of three sons; George and John born to Jacob and Mercedes Soligian, in Fresno, California.
He grew up on M Street near Holy Trinity Armenian Church. He attended Longfellow Elementary School and Fresno Technical High School. At the age of 13, Paul showed his incredible work ethic working at Valley Bakery before school. His work as a salesman for San Joaquin Auto Parts trained him for his future service in the US Army ordnance depot in Alaska. Paul served as a corporal during the Korean Conflict. After his service he was a lead man for North American Aviation on B25s at Hammer Field. His leadership skills and ability to work with others brought him to Marbo Foods as production foreman for 20 years. Paul and his wife Jo also started packing Easter baskets with Marbo Foods before he left to work for the family ranches at Lopopolo Farms. There was no job he couldn't master and his work ethic was exceptional. Along the way he made work and those around him feel like extended family and cherished these memories.
Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Stern and many caregivers who "loved" Paul.
Private burial will be held before the service.
A prayer service for Paul will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 2226 Ventura Street, Fresno, CA 93721.
