Pedro Antonio Crisantos Navarro passed away January 6, following a battle with pancreatic cancer. Surrounded by his family at his passing as he was in life, Pedro continues to remind his loved ones of the importance of charity, hard work, and laughter. A beloved husband, son, brother, tío, and Rams fan, Pedro is survived by his wife, Leslie Navarro, his sisters, Martha Little and María del Rosario Fergus, his nieces and nephews, and his many dear friends.
Pedro was born on March 16, 1962 in Zamora, Michoacán, México. He was preceded in death by his mother, María Cornelia Crisantos Linares.
Pedro worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles for thirty-eight years. It was while working for Driver Safety Program that he met his beloved wife, Leslie. Together, they shared 25 years of laughter and adventures, exploring México, Nicaragua, Canada, and the United States together.
Honoring his mother’s sacrifice and legacy, Pedro was an avid advocate for education, encouraging everyone he came in contact with, young and old, to be lifelong learners. He worked from a young age to ensure his family would have access to higher education, and he himself graduated from high school early and enrolled in higher ed. He handmade and gifted hundreds of desks for young students from California to Washington.
A lifelong craftsman, Pedro showed his gratitude for the many kindnesses of his coworkers, neighbors, and community members by gifting handmade wooden “projects.” His nieces and nephews recall him finding reclaimed wood and creating plans on his own to make wooden gifts for his loved ones, including his infamous trucks. Tío Pedro’s trucks can be seen at many businesses around Fresno and Clovis, his way of expressing his gratitude for the people in his life.
Friends and family can honor his legacy by paying it forward: finding ways to help a neighbor, laughing with loved ones, and listening to your favorite songs while you work.
“Donde fue caminando, fue sembrando amor.” Doña Flora
“Wherever he went, he sowed love.”
Services will be held at the Funeraria del Angel in Fresno, CA, on January 19, 2026.
