December 26, 1955 - September 5, 2025
Peggy Diane Torres, a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away at the age of 69 on Friday, September 5th, 2025, surrounded of the love of her family.
Born on December 26th, 1955, to Virginia Lee Holocker and Otho Mitchell, Peggy grew up with a deep sense of family, warmth and compassion that would become the hallmark of her life. She carried these values with her into adulthood, building a life rooted in love, laughter and unshakeable strength.
Peggy shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Louie Torres, with whom she created a home full of joy, kindness, and unforgettable memories. Together, they raised two daughters Janete Stamps (with husband Kieth Stamps) and Kimberley Marzano (with husband Chris Marzano), whom she cherished beyond measure. Her love and legacy live on in her five grandchildren Andrew Stamps, Alexandria Torres, Breanna Stamps, Matthew Stamps, and Eric Marzano, and her three great-grandchildren Lorenzo Ortega, Adonis Ortega, and Elias Ortega who will carry her spirit forward with every smile, every kind word, and every warm embrace.
Peggy is also survived by her loving brothers, Larry Mitchell and Mike Mitchell, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and sibling love.
To know Peggy was to know kindness. She had a way of making everyone feel at home, and her strength in the face of life's challenges was both inspiring and comforting. Whether through a warm meal, a thoughtful note, or a quiet moment of listening, Peggy gave selflessly and loved unconditionally.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Peggy's life was one well lived - a life full of meaning, love, and purpose. Her legacy will continue in the hearts of those who knew her, and the memories she gifted us will be treasured forever.
Rest peacefully, Peggy. You were deeply loved, and you will be profoundly missed.
