Phillip Charles Walters, Jr. of Easton-Fresno, passed away on July 21, 2019.

Phillip aka Jr. was born in Riverside, CA on April 20, 1926. After serving in World War II, he resided in Easton with his wife Vivian, who passed in 2010, where they raised their six children. At age 93, Junior was the longest surviving member of the Walters family, and is survived by his children: Shirley, Connie, Peggy, Diane, Ida, and Michael, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Junior worked at Fresno Concrete Pipe for over 50 years and had a passion for building and creating. He loved to build and fly model airplanes, as well as create new inventions to help make gardening and housework easier. To those in Easton, Junior will fondly be remembered for his pristine lawn and flowerbeds, an amazingly large tomato garden, which he loved to share with everyone. He will always be remembered for his love of red and yellow, his love of gardening, and his willingness to always help a neighbor out.

Although he had dementia in his later years, Junior was always the friendly man we knew and loved. The last six years of his life, he spent living with his daughter Peggy, who always had a beautiful garden for him to sit in and enjoy. On his last day he enjoyed lunch with his family and he was very happy, which is a blessing and comfort for the family to remember him by.

Visitation will be at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel on Sunday July 28, 2019 from 1:00 - 4:00pm. Services will be held on Monday July 29, 2019 at 10:00 am at Stephens and Bean Chapel. A Veteran's Honor Guard will follow at Belmont Memorial Park. The family invites you to join a Celebration of Life at Phillip's home in Easton, following the services.
