Ray was born in Fresno, CA on September 14, 1939. He lived his entire life in Kerman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Maria Botelho, as well as his three older brothers and their spouses, Joe Botelho, Tony and Marilyn Botelho, Silveno and Maxine Botelho and his niece Sandra Nilmeier. He was active in the SBF, serving as both a board member and President. He was also an active member of the Kerman High Booster’s in the 80’s.
He met his wife Phyllis in 1957. Ray graduated from Kerman High in 1958. After graduating he got his first job as a truck driver for Sierra Meat Company. Ray and Phyllis were married September 2, 1961. Together they raised a family and began a trucking business when Ray bought his own truck. Later he added two more. They hauled ag products locally. He then became a farmer of grapes and almonds, along with farming, he did custom hay work.
Ray loved his family deeply. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, his sons Danny and Robby Botelho, his daughter Staci Botelho-Casey. His Grandchildren Devon Botelho, Jordan Botelho, McKenna Casey, and Andrew Casey. In addition, two great grandchildren Tyson Vasquez and Harlow Vasquez.

A visitation for Raymond will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, 202 North Teilman, Fresno, CA 937061310. A funeral mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 15437 W Kearney Blvd, Kerman, CA 93630. A committal service will occur Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, 264 N Blythe Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
Raymond will be laid to rest in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery , 264 N. Blythe Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.
Serving as pallbearers are Brian Botelho , Denis Pacini, Mike Botelho , Kenny Ragsdale, Lee Nilmeier, Joe Porto , Jim Botelho and Louie Hofer.
