His job allowed him to travel around the world with his family, a privilege for which they are eternally grateful.
In addition to his professional life, Reuben was an avid bowler and a passionate sports fan, holding season tickets for the San Francisco 49ers and attending numerous San Francisco Giants games. He also enjoyed attending Pro Bowl games in Hawaii.
In 1996, Reuben retired and returned to Fresno, where he and Elida continued their travels, with Honolulu, Hawaii, being one of his favorite destinations.
