Richard Anthony Silva

Richard was born on December 15,1932 in Santa Clara, CA to Anthony (Antone) H. Silva and Rose T Russo and was their only child. Richard practiced as a Pharmacist in California for over 65 years and is known for being the oldest continuously practicing pharmacist in the state, finally retiring at the age of 85.

Richard is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Kathleen P. Silva. He is also preceded in death by his stepson, Jason A. Witter.

He is survived by his stepsons, Gregory J. Witter and Eric A. Witter; grandchildren Joshua Witter, Chase Witter, Cole Witter, Nathan Witter, Faith Schmitt, Ethan Witter, Trevor Witter, Stella Witter, Simone Witter, Pauline Witter and Wyatt Witter; and great grandchildren Cameron, Melody, Brooke, Brinley, Conner, Emma, Finn, Shaylee and Morgan.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and a prayer service will be held at 10:00 am at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns and Blair Funeral Home, 836 E Nees Ave., Fresno CA 93720.

He will be entombed with his wife Kathleen at the Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, Santa Clara, California on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 12:30 pm.
