A native of Fresno, he graduated from Roosevelt High School and Fresno State. He was initially employed by Fresno County Environmental Health Department and then by the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District. He also served in the Air National Guard until his retirement in 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Rose Bashian.
He is survived by his wife, Nora; sons, Gregory Bashian and Jefferey Bashian and his wife, Heather; sister Lynne Kuckenbecker and her husband Richard; grandchildren, Giavanna, Alexan, and Micah.
Visitation will be held at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel on Monday, October 17 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Ararat Armenian Cemetery.
