Robert Pete Weber

Robert Pete Weber was born April 17, 1929 to Pete and Ann Weber, the 1st of six children. He attended Madison Elementry School and graduated from Central Union High School with the class of 1947. In 1950, he married Velma Marie Liebee. They had two children; a daughter, Pamela and a son, Robert (Bobby).

Robert briefly worked in the construction field and in 1951, he went to work at Fresno Airmotive, and aircraft parts company, located at Chandler Field in downtown Fresno.

Robert built he own home on north Cornelia Ave., with the help of several people in 1967, and continued to live there after the passing of his wife, Velma, of 65 years, on November 8, 2015.

In 1974, he purchased part of the inventory of Fresno Airmotive, and moved it to a warehouse he had built at his home on north Cornelia, under the name of Robert Weber, Inc. He continued supplying parts to private pilots all over the world right up until his death. He spent 67 years at this profession, and knew it well.

Robert was an avid fisherman, hunter, and loved to camp. He was a member of The Fresno Trade Club and an "Endowment" Life Member of The National Rifle Association. Robert and Velma volunteered the use of their home for several Central Union High School Band gathering in support of their two grandsons who were actively involved in the band.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Velma; parents, Pete and Ann Weber; brother Don Weber; sisters, Betty Siebert and Dorothy Weber; and grandson, Scott McKay.

Robert is survived by sisters, Marilyn Ubick and Judith Weber; daughter Pam McKay and husband Jim; son, Bob Weber and wife Susan; grandchildren, Brian McKay and Cassidy Weber; six great-grandchildren and his dogs Blackie and Lucky.

Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Funeral Chapel on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

A Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
